The University of Waterloo’s ChinaREACH organization is pleased to present to you the ChinaREACH Benefit Gala.

What is ChinaREACH?
• Since the mid-1990’s, large numbers of peasants in the Henan province of eastern China havebeen infected by the HIV virus due to unsafe blood transfer procedures.
• ChinaREACH is a student-run organization devoted to the sustainable development of AIDS prevention, care, and educational programs for affected communities in Henan, China.

What is the ChinaREACH Benefit Gala?
• The ChinaREACH Benefit Gala is an event hosted by ChinaREACH in collaboration with the Chinese Students and Scholars Association of Waterloo, Zeta Psi Fraternity, Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority, and University of Waterloo International Health Development Association.
• The aim of the gala is to raise funds for and awareness of the AIDS crisis in Henan province.
• The event will be held at Federation Hall on November 15th 2007 at 7:30pm.
• The gala will include a silent auction, an art exhibit, hors d’oeuvres, and a wide variety of live performances.

How can you help?
• Come on out to the Gala! Tickets will be sold in the SLC in the days leading up to the event. Check this website for updates as to when and where tickets will be available.
• If you would like to get involved in organizing the event, there are still opportunities available; whether your interest is marketing, dealing with sponsors, the art exhibition and/or performances, logistics, or dealing with University administration, there is a wide variety of experience to be gained.
